Flowers by Zoie has been creating beautiful wedding and event florals throughout Richmond and Central Virginia since 2010. Built on a passion for art, color, texture, and exceptional customer service, Flowers by Zoie earned a reputation for creating custom floral designs that reflects each couple's unique vision while providing an experience that is just as memorable as the flowers themselves.
In 2026, Flowers by Zoie began an exciting new chapter when ownership transitioned to Christy Oeth, owner and founder of Christy's Cottage. While preserving the creativity, quality, and personalized service that clients have come to expect, Christy is carrying the Flowers by Zoie legacy forward with her own passion for floral design and client care.
NEXT CHAPTER: MORE THAN ARRANGEMENTS
For Christy, flowers are more than beautiful arrangements—they are a way to celebrate life's most meaningful moments. Before becoming a florist, Christy spent 24 years as a registered nurse, caring for patients and families through some of the best and most difficult days of their lives. That same compassion, attention to detail, and commitment to service now guide every wedding, celebration, and floral design she creates.
Christy's journey into floral design began during the pandemic when she and her husband planted nearly 80 rose bushes in their Mechanicsville garden. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion. She would cut fresh roses before her nursing shifts and bring them to her unit, brightening the day for coworkers and patients alike. Those simple bouquets sparked a love for floral artistry that eventually grew into Christy's Cottage and ultimately led to the next chapter of Flowers by Zoie.
